SMILE! I thought this may be an appropriate time to post this look because it comes with a message. The other day on a "Dear Abby" column (Ya... I read Dear Abby) A girl wrote about the best advice she could have ever gotten, that actually came from the column years ago. She was a lonely, unsocial girl in her first year of high school. She had very little friends and was not really involved with anything. She read the "Dear Abby" column one day by chance and read a letter sent in by a girl who had the exact same problem as her. Abby gave her wonderful advice, but the best? To smile. Abby said that if you walk around the halls with a frown and a tired expression, people wont want to approach you. If you walk around with a smile people will know that they can talk to you. Of course, you shouldn't go around with a fake smile on your face, but a happy content smile that lets people know you are nice! The girl who read the letter sent in a letter a couple days ago, telling Abby how helpful her advice was. She started smiling, she made millions of new friends, she became student council president, and performed in all the school performances. She is now an actress (the letter was anonymous so i don't know who it was!) and has made bunches of new friends around the world. She sent in this letter asking Abby to repeat the same advice as she had to that girl years ago, so it could help other girls who felt left out. I have recently started smiling more often (like during passing) and lot's of people have actually talked to me! Just with a compliment on an outfit or a smile in return, but that is a big accomplishment. So I hope you all will take this advice and just SMILE!

Brand New Day

Guess what!? Today was the big day! I got my braces off!!! O-F-F  F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I have been so happy with the outcome! I got them taken off this morning and I still haven't stopped smiling! (Im literally smiling as I type this) I took a Geometry test today and was smiling the entire time! My teacher probably thought I was crazy, but I couldn't help it! They are also super slimy! I've been licking my teeth a lot too! I was given a huge box of DOT'S candies after (imagine eating those with braces!), and a whole bunch of balloons! I'm just so happy! I've had braces on since 2008! When I got them off I went to the mirror and thought I was looking at someone else! I look so different! And my teeth look so much bigger than they were with braces! My friend Jordan said she felt like Cheshire cat from Alice In Wonderland when she got hers off! Thats exactly how I feel! And my friend Anna said that she felt a whole lot more confident the second she got hers off! And she is so right! :)

Feeling a little envious lately? Im actually just peachy! I cannot explain how much I adore this look! AND the scenery in which we took the photos. Let me talk about this skirt first. It is so unique! I have proclivities towards uniqueness (My english teacher would be so proud I used one of my vocabulary words!). I love that it has the two tone fabrics and the dangling pieces on the sides. And best of all, It's super comfy! (thats the best kind of fashion, don't we all agree?) I was also DYING to start dance lessons anew, so I got a little bit of my ballet mojo going on in there. The juicy headband I was so lucky to have found. When we were in New York, I found this at the way bottom of a hair accessories bin! It seemed to be the only one so, points for me! And my shoes. Well aren't they unique as well? I call them my taco shoes because they remind me of taco shells. As I'm posting this, I'm also being a super huge procrastinator and finding as many ways as possible to not do my book report for english. It's due tomorrow so we'll see how this goes.

It's a Stella McCartney overload! My mom has recently handed me down a bunch of new clothes, and without knowing, they are all by Stella McCartney! That was a pretty exciting moment in my day. Plus I am finally wearing this feather earring my friends Kendal and Jordan gave to me! Their sister actually has a little jewelry line called "Recycled Designs" and she makes many earrings like this and more. I really really love the color of this blouse, because it is like a rust red color, but it has this green shadow mixed in, I love it! I have also taken a liking to my mom's Lucky Brand Shorts which I am trying to wear everyday until Fall comes! I actually am really excited for fall. I have a bunch of new clothes that I haven't even been able to wear yet because they are all fall colors. Also, I love the colors of fall, and my favorite Starbucks drink comes out! The  cream based Pumpkin Spice Frapucchino! Mmmmm... and Pumpkin scented candles too! I also really like Halloween! I don't even know why. I don't like any of the scary stuff, or the decorations (i'm deathly afraid of the Halloween store!). It might be the costumes, but there is just something else that I like about Halloween that I can't figure out.

So sorry I didn't post in a couple days! School just started so I'm getting kind of held up, but I promise I will be posting all the time now! Anyways, I though I just had to do something with my favorite shirt. I mean honestly, who's favorite shirt isn't this one? I remember my friends going to New York and everyone asking them to get them a NY shirt, but I just couldn't ask someone to get it for me. I had to experience New York and get it personally. Once again, I'm wearing my boyfriend jeans! They are just so comfy and.. well, addictive! I also looove the prada belt! I love that it's thin, but has the bright color to it that makes it so unique! I actually got the bracelet from Juicy Couture on a tote bag I bought on e-bay. At first we thought it was just a cherub but it turned out to be a bracelet so double points for me! And of course those high fashion Miu Miu shoes are just amazing! They are actually my mom's believe it or not. She will not even let me wear them, or let alone touch them! I don't even know if she wears them! They are so perfect and pretty still, but luckily this look was going to be barefoot so she let me hold them just this time. This look was inspired by one of my all time favorite movies "The Devil Wears Prada." I felt like I wanted a really simple but chic look, and what color is better to pull that off than black? I was staring at my closet and thinking of something that could represent Andy. I chose this because I wanted to be like how Andy was in the beginning of the movie when she was just starting out to be all fashionable, but she was simple. One of my favorite things to combine black with is that pop of red! I have to have it! Lot's of my clothes are centered around the pop of color look. I also fell in love with these shoes! (I feel like I fall in love with everything). The are so gorgeous! I love the silver cover that has Dior craved out in it!; I am also a huge fan of high fashion logos. I've also got my handy-dandy Teen Vogue Handbook (the unpublished manuscript that Miranda wants) that I swear I could not live without. I really want to comment on the movie we saw yesterday called "The Help." It is such an adorable movie! But it is also so sad to hear the stories of "The Help" throughout the movie. I would have to say that my favorite character was Minnie the "sassy" maid! And I also loved Celia Foote! She was just so funny! I would really recommend everyone to see it

Cool, Casual, Comfy Boyfriend jeans! I just got these pants yesterday and I have fallen in love with them! They have this washed and worn out look and color, and they are also very vintage-y. The pants aren't exactly just blue jeans blue, they have a sort of light tan color mixed in with them. They are actually 1 size too big, but strangely enough, they are supposed to be! You can get them in your size so that they look sort of like straight legs, but if you get them a size bigger they have a whole different look. It actually says on the tag that you should get them a size bigger for a more vintage feel. I paired them with this oversized tee because the look is relaxed. And I also used my new favorite shoes from Mika that I just cant seem to get enough of these days!
