Loteria!

Wearing:

H&M blouse
Bershka green jeans
JFK ankle boots
My own headband
"Loteria!" handbag from Mexico

LOTERIA! I scored on this cute handbag, which also happens to be decorated with playing cards from my favorite childhood game... apart from hungry hungry hippos...

Can I just say, that personally i think blue, green and orange go amazingly amazing together? The three colors are so bold already, and together they really stand out! And fall is in the air, so what better way to prepare than pops of colour? :)

Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy Man let me hold the entire stick!

Wearing:

Reverse Dress
Zara Heels

I've been waiting to post this for the longest time, and it's finally time to show you! I cannot explain how much I love everything, the heels, the dress, the hair, and even the location! I found a way to reuse last years prom dress efficiently. Have I mentioned how important it is to have some neon in your wardrobe? It doesn't have to be a shirt or pants, but shoes or a necklace or even sweaters with neon lining are absolutely wonderful. They're great for those gloomy winter days that could use a little color. Make some sparks with a neon touch! My hair is (is because I still use it like this) inspired by Madame De Rosa because obviously, her hair is absolutely gorgeous just like her. Can I tell you how excited I am that Lady Gaga released her US tour dates?! I'm freaking out, not missing the "Born This Way Ball" for anything!!

*Spoiler Alert*
I hope you all like Charlie Chaplin... he's coming to my blog for a visit :)

Leopards, and Tigers and Cheetahs, Oh My!

Wearing:
Zara Collared Blouse
Ralph Lauren Shorts
Miss Grant Sandals

"El Zoologico De Guadalajara" is definitely one of the best Zoos of all time. They have absolutely any animal you could possibly think of! Sadly we came too late an didn't have enough time to find the cheetahs, but this beautiful leopard was a sight along our walk and who could resist not taking a photo. Along with the white tiger!

If I haven't said it before, here I go... everyone should have a cheetah print something. And a good cheetah print something at that. The reason I say a good something is because there are trillions of cheetah printed garments out there, but many of them are cheap and tacky looking. Now I'm not saying you should go out there and get a $100 dollar printed pair of pants, there are plentys of reasonably priced quality items *cough* H&M *cough* Forever 21... but I really believe that a pair of shorts, a top, a dress or even a belt or shoes in the print can really be a life saver when you can't figure out what to wear in the morning. With cheetah print, you can go all black and have that pop of print! Another great investment would be a collared shirt, or just a separate collar that you can add to different looks, like the one I have in my post Amor Apache

The Rolling Stones

Wearing:

Pull & Bear Rolling Stones T-Shirt
Zara Jeans
Denisse Boutique Necklace
Ashish for Underground Creepers

A Casual Day for me... extremely. But It could not be helped with the tremendous heat of Tequila. Tequila, Mexico that is (I do not recommend wearing Creepers in 100 degree weather). One of my favorite new things is my Denisse Boutique necklace!! It's one of my favorite pieces i've gotten this year, and I found it at the little Boutique above Cafe "Amor Apache." Have any of you ever tried dragon fruit? It's quite good.. peculiar.. but good. The little white dome chapped part you see in the fruit  is what you eat, and it tastes kind of like a honey dew melon.

By any chance... have any of you read this months "Glamour?" Because there are some wonderful articles in there that I want to share with you, that have boosted my confidence, and hopefully will boost yours. The issue has many articles on how you really shouldn't be afraid to dress for yourself. Many girls are scared to dress how they want because they want to fit in, they are afraid of being teased or un-liked, which in truth is completely true. The Man Repeller is a blog  Leandra Medine started after she asked her friend why men weren't committing to her. Her friends told her that the way she dressed was horrendous to men, which therefore started the legendary blog "Man Repeller." She liked the way she dressed, and was happy with her style, and guess what? She was recently married! So don't be afraid to dress how you want because really, all that matters is what you like, not what every other girl is wearing. Glamour also stated that you don't have to shop expensive to get your dream style either! I shop at stores like "Forever 21" and "H&M" (my love!!) on a regular basis! The most important thing to do while shopping is to shop around your own likes, (and to look for the good quality items). Don't buy the top or skirt that every girl is wearing to school just because of that reason, buy that cute orange 50's style dress you've had your eye on for a while (which my friend bought and fell in love with by the way). Many girls that I talk to about shopping at "Forever 21" say that they don't shop there because the clothes are bad quality.. not true if you are looking for the cute items! The next time you go to a store like "Forever 21" really look.

Here are some Examples:

Do all the girls in your area wear

These are all from either Forever 21 or H&M, and they have been key pieces to my wardrobe ever since I saw them on the shelves. But they are also not cheap items, and I have actually surprised people by telling them they are from those stores.

The Moral of the Story is: Be Yourself. Completely.

Geek Technique

Wearing::

White Dress Blouse:: H&M
Dark Green Sweater:: Bershka
White Skirt:: Hussein Chalayan
Vintage Givenchey Earrings
Shoes:: Mika
Ring:: Forever 21

Today was the first day of school! So I thought I would get my inner scholar out. I returned to school after a wonderful summer to AP and Honors classes, Geometry, and all that "fun stuff." Yay...
I LOVE these earrings so much! I went crazy when my mom showed them to me! My mom has this box  filled with vintage jewelry. Some of it is really crazy! There are gold chains with huge gold amulets hanging from them! And then there are other things like these earrings. (Oh and if you haven't noticed, my glasses are the beautiful couture movie theatre 3D glasses with the lenses popped out.) I think that every girl should own a pouffy white skirt. I goes with everything and it can be worn during summer and winter. And guess what? 3 more weeks till braces come off! It's a rather exciting event!
